What test do you mean?
So there’s a guy and a girl, and they’re talking to a guy that we’re going to call the Gatekeeper. And the guy goes, “Man, I really like Green Lantern.” And the Gatekeeper goes, “I know, right? Me too.” And the girl goes, “I love Green Lantern!” And the Gatekeeper goes, “Oh, yeah? Who’s the Green Lantern right now? I bet you haven’t even read the comic book.” You know? They do that kind of shit. And I’ve said it so many times: Being a nerd is not about what you love; it’s about the way you love it. And no one gets to tell another person, “You’re not loving a comic book the right way.”I identified this when Twitter started blowing up. And just because I was an early adopter, I was on there before a lot of legitimately famous people were on there. And all of these social-media gurus were coming to talk to me and I figured out that when someone says “This is the right way to use Twitter,” the translation for that was “This is the way I can profit or benefit from you using Twitter.” And I kept telling people, “Do it your way, it doesn’t matter. Just do your thing.”
And I don’t mind kicking a beehive. Some people say to me, “You could have so many more followers if you didn’t say this or that.” And I don’t fucking care. It’s not like I’m keeping score. And you know, if I’m going to alienate people who think that standing by a park with an assault rifle is okay because you can, then I don’t want that person to follow me anyway and I don’t fucking care if they don’t support any of my work, because fuck that guy.

Devnote Tuesdays: The Forum Upgrade Edition

Felipe (HarvesteR): So last week I got the new UI widgets pretty much in a presentable state, now moving forward with the rest of the to-do list. Funds are implemented to an essential level, which means they’re far from complete, but the game does already calculate the cost of vessels and…

I don’t even have to tell you why this is important or why you should support the Kickstarter to bring back Reading Rainbow; you know why. So go do it!

"But Diversity is Unrealistic" is looking for submissions!
Instances of unrealistic diversity in realityWe are a new submission blog aimed at exposing how ridiculous the notion of diversity in media being unrealistic is. We collect stories from everyday life of events or interaction that, if portrayed on television, would draw criticism for “trying too hard to be inclusive” or “checking diversity boxes”. We want to encourage the active observation and appreciation of diversity in everyday life, including but definitely not limited to age, ability, body type, gender identity, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and especially all facets of intersectionality.
In short, we’re collecting instances of unrealistic diversity in reality and we’d love if you came and shared your story with us.
This seems like a pretty good idea for a submissions blog, if any of my followers are interested.

Wacky fun…#WAIT WHERE’S DEATH AT A FUNERAL#COME ON NOW THAT’S THE BEST ONE
I’d tend to agree:

Alan Tudyk, everyone!
Not enough crazy ‘Alpha’ from Dollhouse for me (another brilliant, but short, series from Joss Whedon) but good nonetheless xD

That’s got to be the goal: to destroy less and to create more. To increase awesome and decrease suck. That—-That’s what I believe in. That is what I believe in. That, I think, ultimately humans are pretty good at. And are getting better at.
